Accessing Microsoft 365 Portal

Introduction

If you have any trouble printing this guide, please use the attached PDF file.

  • For all information and guides below, the type of Microsoft account that you have through Office 365 with Sundog is a "work or school account" when prompted to choose by Microsoft. Do not choose "Microsoft account".
  • If prompted to choose an account type during email setup, you may also have to specify that you are using an Office 365 or Exchange account, not Outlook or outlook.com.
  • To access your account and most resources below, you will need to go to either:
  • Your username will be your full email address.

If you run into trouble and need further assistance, Sundog is available to help at support@sundogit.com, or 815-991-2400.

Office Mobile Apps and Email Access

  • Office 365 email setup varies a lot from phone to phone. Some default email apps may not play well with your Office 365 account.
  • Sundog recommends that you download and install the free Outlook app from Microsoft so that you should only need to know 3 things:
    • Your username - same as your full email address
    • Your password - the one that allows access to the above address
    • Your account type - Office 365 (Work or School Account)

  • For any form of mail setup on your mobile device (Outlook app or otherwise):
  • Most Office 365 accounts with email access should be able to access email from any mobile device.
    • Many accounts will also be able to access mobile apps for things like Word documents and Excel Spreadsheets, though additional licensing may be needed.
