Military Service

Cohen Barnes

I served in the United States Army on Active Duty as an Infantryman for 3 years in Fort Benning Georgia. In January of 1991, I was called back into service for Operation Desert Storm, and thankfully, the war ended right before I was deployed. Because I responded to my Country’s call, I was proud to come home with the National Defense Ribbon which is an honor I share with both my Grandfathers who are both veterans of World War II.

The United States Military had an enormous impact on my life and helped shape who I am. I am proud to have served my Country and proud to work with fellow veterans as well. At Sundog, we have a long history of employing veterans from active duty service and those who currently serving in our National Guard and Reserves. Military service in my organization is something that is highly valued and supported.

ESGR

Recently, I signed a Statement of Support from ESGR, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, that pledges our commitment to our veterans and our current Citizen Warriors. The sacrifices our soldiers have made and continue to make deserve our support in whatever way we as individuals or as employers can provide, and Sundog is committed to our soldiers.

As job opportunities arise, I encourage all soldiers past and present to apply for those positions. Your military service will be seen as an important asset as a character and culture component we look for in qualified candidates.

Thanks go out to all of you who have and are serving in our military.

Hooah,
